Candidate Bios
Candidate Statement: ACP has been my professional home since 2007. As an Internal medicine physician, I identify with the vision and mission of ACP. My career in Internal medicine has provided me with a sense of purpose and fulfillment in life. My expertise and qualifications come from my dedication to the practice of traditional internal medicine until 2019 and ambulatory primary care since then. Due to my experience as an internist and international medical graduate, I understand the myriad challenges that community internists face in both inpatient and outpatient settings including but not limited to work-life balance, equitable reimbursements, issues related to gender disparity, diversity, equity and health care delivery. I would be honored to serve our chapter as a Governor and advocate for my colleagues and patients at both the chapter as well as national level and foster necessary changes to improve patient care delivery as well as physician well-being.

Candidate Statement: ACP, through its advocacy, research and policy work, serves as a professional touch point for many of us, and I would be honored to serve as our chapter鈥檚 Governor Elect. My curious, fair and collaborative approach to leadership would benefit our chapter, and my recent MBA has equipped me with new tools and perspectives. I will bring my broad clinical experience to this role, as a hospitalist and clinical program leader with experience across the spectrum, from a post discharge clinic to the hospital and now the burgeoning home hospital field. I found a professional home within ACP particularly with the organization鈥檚 expansive reflection of the diversity of internal medicine. I would love to help attract even more members, particularly early career physicians and trainees, to expose them to the opportunities afforded by ACP and to accompany them on their development in this rapidly evolving health care system.
