During that time, we have graduated over 650 internists into practice, many within the Southern California area. I am also the primary advisor for all Keck School of Medicine students seeking a career in Internal Medicine; Health Care Disparities - My primary area of research has been investigating disparities in health care with regard to socio-economic status, mental health, and ethnicity; Quality Improvement Within Healthcare Systems - Working in an administrative role at a large private quaternary hospital (Keck Medical Center) and at the largest safety net hospital in Los Angeles (LAC+USC) has given me a unique perspective on the opportunities for quality improvement in different healthcare systems.
