While the performance measure concept is adequate, appropriate vitamin D levels are not standardized. (9) There is insufficient clinical evidence to support monitoring vitamin D levels. Additionally, there is currently no reliability or validity testing available to support this performance measure. The PMC recommends testing the performance measure for scientific acceptability.
