In Case You Missed It

ACP participated in the held on October 5th and helped develop a white paper with key recommendations for the future of health IT. The paper emphasizes that health IT principles (such as data access, data standardization, interoperability, and privacy and security) should be implemented to advance health equity and public health systems.


ACA Enrollment Now Open

This week, enrollment opened for 2022 Health Insurance Marketplace plans. Plans on the federal marketplace will be open until Jan. 15, but the deadline may vary for states that operate their own marketplaces. ACP has put together resources to help physicians and their staff get the word out about enrollment opportunities and educate their patients about community-based health insurance enrollment assistance. ACP's Advocates for Internal Medicine network has issued an action alert, asking network members to send a letter to their senators urging them to reach final agreement on massive social spending bill known as the Build Back Better Act/BBBA (H.R. 5376).
