Philadelphia, April 8, 2019 – The Â鶹ֱ²¥app (ACP) is honoring six chief residents as winners of the Herbert S. Waxman Chief Resident Teaching Scholarships at , ACP’s annual scientific meeting taking place April 11-13 in Philadelphia.
The 2019 chief resident awardees are:
- Cyrus Askin, MD, San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Consortium
- Steven Fox, MD, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
- Ranju Kunwor, MD, Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago
- Andrea Labus, MD, West Virginia University School of Medicine
- Jacob Ludwig, DO, National Jewish Health | Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver
- Joseph Maciuba, MD, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center
ACP established the Herbert S. Waxman Chief Resident Teaching Scholarships in 2014 to recognize outstanding chief medical residents and to provide them an opportunity to assist teaching popular workshops under the guidance and mentorship of expert faculty in the at ACP’s annual scientific meeting.
Internal Medicine Meeting’s Clinical Skills Center is a collection of educational activities that provides hand-on learning under the guidance of expert faculty, interactive self-study, and other events and exhibits designed to improve physician well-being and professional satisfaction.
